As a provider of quality maternal health, Fernandez Foundation felt the need to have a select group of skilled nurses trained especially to promote and deliver, effective health care that can save the lives of thousands of mothers and newborn every year. With this in mind, the Hospital piloted a two-year Professional Midwifery Education and Training (PMET) Programme in August 2011. Tutors / midwives come regularly from the UK, to help train batches of student nurses.
